The 2020 girl’s soccer team had planned to order new warm up jackets for the players, however these jackets were manufactured out of a factory in China. They are now no longer available for the team to order and get sized due to the factory workers getting the coronavirus.
The coaches of the team were made aware of this February 29 and all team members and parents were emailed after through Teamsnap. The teams should still get warm up jackets, just not the ones they were originally going to get.
The coronavirus has spread rapidly across China and has begun to circulate it’s way around the U.S. “It’s kind of weird to think that even though it has not affected me by getting me sick it still changed something small in my life, it came as quite a surprise to me when I got the message.” states Zheya Hawk, a player for the JV team this year.
The process of finding a new company to produce the jackets for the teams has already started. The jackets will have the girl’s names on the back and will be worn mostly before games.
