BHS boys state preview

This season's State Wrestling tournament will be in Pueblo on March 11-13. Berthoud qualified four wrestlers for State. Sophomore Will Moneypenny weighing 132 lbs is going to state against Trevor Maestas, a Junior on Alameda’s team. Moneypenny is undefeated with 20 wins and 0 loses. Another wrestler going to state is senior Talyn Massie with 17 wins and 3 loses weighing 145 lbs. Massie will go against senior Zane Rankin from Lamar’s team. Sophomore Evan Torres will be going to state against senior Isaiah Rios from Valley weighing 152 lbs. Torres has 10 wins and 10 losses, and Isaiah has 21 wins and 2 losses. Senior Peter Bullett at 220 has 19 wins and 1 loss and is going with Zayne Stam, a junior on Weld Central’s team.
